How to you work out the metal bars question because I got 4 bars
The Trial and Improvement answer I got was 3.7 and here is how:

3.8^3 - 5 x 3.8 = 35.872
3.7^3 - 5 x 3.7 = 32.153

35.872 - 34 = 1.872
34 - 32.153 = 1.847

1.847 < 1.872

Therefore 3.7 is the correct answer!?

Another point is that I got 80.1 instead of 80.4 in the last question however I believe this is because I rounded the result of the first stage to 40. Hopefully I will still get 4 or 5 out of 6 for doing the correct working.
whats the grade boundries going to be? High or Low?
i became confused with the wording as i thought it said finding the "angel" not angle,
So i simply put... Im not on that "side" yet

95 - 102 marks

no it is not. thats for a B grade. for a C it is 65-68 marks
November 2015 hardest paper yet and grade boundaries similar to other years - it really can't be guessed as you are being compared to each other!

There is no way of telling if June 2015 was harder than June 2016 until Edexcel collect everyones marks and compare them to the statistics of last year. In terms of June 2015 being considered the worse exam ever, it wasn't. I believe that title goes to Nov 2012. But again that's just opinion. Believe it or not, with the grade boundaries quite low for A* at 155, only 5% of people managed to get this mark or higher. Therefore, if you perform in the top 5% of the cohort you are likely to get an A*. A* could potentially be 190/200 if 5/10% of students get this. You never know until the results are published. Personally, from sitting the exam in June 2015, November 2015 and June 2016 I can say that I personally found the noncalc of Nov 2015 the hardest due to the vast amount of proof questions (about 10 marks overall). And many people were bothered about the June 2015 sweets question, but that had come up before in other areas of mathematics.

That is wrong because if you use 3.75 the answer is too low and because you need to round final answer to 1d.p it has to be 3.8

No, it was a lot easier.

I got 80.4 but don think it's right

Knowing 1/2absinC= 18cm (squared)...
1/2 x 7 x 8 x sinC= 18
18/28= sinC
sin-1(18/28)= 40.00520088

Now use the cosine rule:

72+82-(2 x 7 x 8 x cos(40.00520088)) =27.20955764

Then square rooting it gives…
5.216278141

Then use the sine rule…

(Sin(40.00520088) / 5.216278141) x 8 = 0.9859246389

Sin-1(0.9859246389)= 80.4 (to 3 sig. Figures)

If anyone believes this method to be incorrect reply to this.

I'm one of the few people in agreement with this 3.7 method, and yes, you should get 4/5 marks for the working

However, this shows 3.8 being 0.025 further away than 3.7. 3.7 is closer. Therefore, the answer is 3.7, even though 3.75 gives an answer smaller than 34.
No.It was 3.8!
