Average grade boundary is 166, not taking into account June 2015

it is almost entirely pointless taking November grade boundaries into account, most schools submit their most able students for early entry maths therefore the A/A* boundaries are almost always exceptionally high. If you just consider the June boundaries, the average is 161.

Knowing 1/2absinC= 18cm (squared)...
1/2 x 7 x 8 x sinC= 18
18/28= sinC
sin-1(18/28)= 40.00520088

Now use the cosine rule:

72+82-(2 x 7 x 8 x cos(40.00520088)) =27.20955764

Then square rooting it gives…
5.216278141

Then use the sine rule…

(Sin(40.00520088) / 5.216278141) x 8 = 0.9859246389

Sin-1(0.9859246389)= 80.4 (to 3 sig. Figures)

If anyone believes this method to be incorrect reply to this.

Agreed

I'm one of the few people in agreement with this 3.7 method, and yes, you should get 4/5 marks for the working

3.7 or 3.8, you're in the ballpark. A worst case scenario is that you lose 1 mark. Don't fret! I am sure you all did fine!
Both markschemes can now be found here. Thanks for sharing your answers!
And thus a debate between 3.7 and 3.8 began. Take your sides!

Nope, but I am sure as more and more people respond to the thread the more discrepancies will arise.
I did aswell, we both did sin-1 instead of cos-1

I don't know about that, my whole year was put in to do it in November.

I did it, is there a mark scheme for it?

not that i know of
I got around 160/200 overall - what grade do you think this is?

I'm thinking its a high A or low A* depending on grade boundaries.
I got roughly 54 in this paper and about 55 or 57 in the other, what grade would this be overall

I would assume a B, as I believe last year it was 98 for a B

Anyone got the foundation paper mark scheme? I and everyone else doing foundation would highly appreciate it. Cheers
