How many marks was the "why should you not acidify naclo" or whatever it was??
Yes, the barium and iron reaction both needed state symbols.

The ba2+ + so42- ---> baso4 also required state symbols

You didn't need to for question 7 right? The metal extraction one with the Zinc roasting/Titanium extraction etc.
If not I'm screwed....

Na, you don't, didn't say it on the markscheme when roasting reactions came up before.

Equilibrium left, produce toxic Cl2

what did ppl out for the 2 environmental and 1 economic advantage of using low grade ore?? I put:
Environmental: no SO2 released - no acid rain
Less energy required, less fossil fuels burnt
Economic: scrap iron is cheap

Do you think that's ok?

Haha I put exactly that too, woops. It is defo that cl2 is produced :frown: but hopefully the toxic COULD get us a mark? 😂

Oh thank god, definitely put them for the Cu/Fe question and *hopefully* i did for the Barium one...I can't remember... Thought I'd lost a good 5 or 6 marks for a minute!
Thanks!

I don't think that's wrong cuz it didn't say le chateliers - it said state the danger or hazard - one of them is hcl is corrosive which is 1 mark

Anyone else get 351 kjmol-1 for the bond enthalpy question?

Did you have to make it negative because it was exothermic?
is there an unofficial mark scheme up yet. lol i can't get my head straight until i have seen what i got right and wrong
how many marks do u think they will take off for not putting the working for the C-C question

Bond enthalpies aren't ever negative. :]
