Tuna steak v.s tinned tuna?

Does tuna steak taste anything like tinned tuna?

If not, which meat does it taste most like? (I have heard it tastes nothing like salmong / cod / haddock)

thanks
Prefer canned tuna as its cheaper and more convenient

Tuna steak tastes nicer and less salty. Different texture as well.

Tinned tuna with some hot sauce mixed in ftw.

Not even seasoning will help the mushiness and nastiness of tinned tuna
Tuna steak is worth being more expensive than tinned
a good brand of tinned tuna is almost identical to fresh.
Tuna is gross the smell makes me sick:s-smilie:

Tinned tuna isn't mushy. Unless you're buying tuna flakes or some ****.

Get some hot sauce on it.

Yea possibly a good brand, but I don't even bother. I've seen some ungodly tuna in the tin. My fav meat is fish so if I want tuna then I just get solid fresh albacore or a tuna steak at the market standard :s-smilie:
fresh is best :h:

What about things like tinned pilchards, do you not eat those either?

Tinned obviously isn't as good as fresh (is anything tinned as good as fresh stuff?) but it is more convenient and not even that bad tbh. But whatever you choose. make sure you get some hot sauce on that tuna

Mate I do eat tinned stuff just not everything init. I just can't do tinned tuna lol because I prefer the steak. And I season my meats, but I prefer lemon splash and some butter on my seafood.
fresh tuna is very healthy for you ?
