psychology degree classification help

i got 58% for my second year, what do i need to get in third to achieve 2.1 overall.

one of tutor said for a 2.1 need mean of 50 or higher at level 5 and a mean of 60 or higher at level 6.

what does the above mean? i just want to know what do i need to get 2.1 overall.
thanks in advance
How much are first and second year worth overall?

What is the threshold for a 2.1? Is it 60?

Do you know how your years are weighted? How much you need for a 2:1 will depend on this. Most degrees are 40% 2nd year and 60% third year but yours may be different (my first year counted for 10% so mine was different to most).

Assuming at 40/60 split across 2nd/3rd year:

58 x 0.4 = 23.2 (weighted score for 2nd year)
you need 60% for a 2:1, so 60=23.2 + ((3rd year score)x 0.6))
working this back your 3rd year score needs to be 61.33 (at least).

If the weighting at your uni is different this will be different..
