Last year, virtually nothing came up about cells and specialised cells ,so that would be good to revise for b2.

I just heard that the 6 marker may be on advantages and disadvantages of stem cell research. Off to revise it now - heres a link to something https://getrevising.co.uk/grids/stem_cell_research_advantages_and_disadvantages

Decent

I liked the 6 mark questions but I know a couple of areas where I dropped marks in both papers.

I forgot to say that the stomach produced HCL and I'm pretty sure I answered the questions about umbilical cords incorrectly.

Has anyone made an unofficial mark scheme?

There was one in B2 I think that asked about the function of the glandular tissue in the stomach.

I said it produced the digestive juices which included protease which breaks down proteins into amino acids.

However many of my friends are saying that you needed to say that it produces HCL too, because protease works best in acidic conditions.

Oh that question, yes i have mentioned that the glandular tissue produces protease which catalyses the break down of proteins into amino acids, and yes it does work best in acidic conditions. But i don't think you need to mention HCL but you wouldn't lose marks I think. What do you think?

Hmm you'd probably get that mark for acidic conditions. I'm not sure about myself but hopefully a few marks won't affect my overall grade
