Do cambridge care if you do really bad in an unrelated as level

I have just done my exams and I think I have got two A's, a B and a D. The D grade is the unrelated as. Do you think it would be stupid for me to apply to Cambridge with these results.

Also I am confident at A2 I will get A*A*A as the B grade is in physics which I am carrying on so the as won't count

Cambridge usually look at average ums from most relevant 3 a levels (does depend whether you're applying for humanities or sciences) so the D shouldn't matter. Its always with applying as they take lots of thing into account when accessing your application so you've always got a chance.

AABD is fine (depending on the course...)

AS-levels DO count for Cambridge, and will be noted in your application.

Which course are you considering and what subjects do you expect to get those grades in?



The average UMS is a very small part of an application. And the new linear A-levels don't have UMS anyway.

I would like to do mechanical engineering at uni and I am currently doing maths further maths and physics.
