I'm just trying to make sure the questions they do ask on the state will they basically require the same line of argument?

The last question they asked was "Liberalism is defined by the desire to minimise the role of the state." Discuss.

So something along those lines? Or along the lines of "To what extent do Liberals support the state?"? (loool please don't judge my created question)

another alternative would be "To what extent do modern liberals support state intervention?"

Better if someone can explain the types of things we would have to argue about in regards to conservatism ie tradition
You know what I mean?

Do you mean the main features of conservatism? If so, then stuff like tradition, authority, the economy, human nature, society and paternalism are common.

If you mean the types of questions 45 markers are based on, well generally they might ask you if a particular feature (tradition, authority etc) is the most important/defining feature of conservatism, whether strands of conservatism is coherent, the extent of which they endorse a particular feature, or whether a particular opinion about conservatism is true or false.

You're doing 3D and 4D right? I'm not ready for it atm I'm not sure how to revise for it. The 15 markers can be on anything and the 45 markers I find quite difficult to plan. Do you have any guesses as to the topics that might come up for any of the questions? I think UN may come up.

My teacher has predicted the 45 markers:
3d: world order
4d: poverty

the 15 markers will then be on:
3d: approaches/ global governance
4d: human rights/terrorism.

im nervous about the whole thing. ive found politics really hard this year.

The 45 marker predictions- is that the topic your teacher predicts will not be asked as an option for a 45 marker?

I've really enjoyed politics this year, I've been doing really well all year round and hope to get an A, so fingers crossed.

Oh dear... Well I spent ages revising for politics, its taken me at least 2 months, one month for each paper because obviously we need to revise all four topics.

What I did was I chose my 2 strongest topics from each paper and paid plenty of attention in studying everything about those 2 topics in depth. Because if one of the topics doesn't come up as a 45 marker, the other will.

I'm crapping myself for 15 markers as well, but it's just knowing and reading around everything. All the topics overlap with one another in some shape or form, which makes it easy to think of points and examples for questions sometimes.

Personally, I have prepped for World Order and EU&Regionalism for the 45 markers. I'm just prepared for anything to come up, but for the EU particularly how the EU can be seen as a federal state and whether the EU model can be adapted in other regional bodies.

If you want to be ready in time, I'm going to attach a document that literally covers everything we need to know for the paper for every topic, and the info is in the Andrew Heywood Global Politics textbook, which I will copy a link of the PDF version. Read through it! There's info about marks and how to answer in the exam. I really hope this helps and that you use them
