Depends wherebaouts you are going.- dont go near the border amd aboid the major cities plus demonstrations. Holiday destinations been ok.
Still more chance of being run over or involved in a car accident.

Its quite safe, I'm sure.

Do you want to go on vacation or something?
Yeah it's safe. A bomb only goes off there like once a week or so.

I'm going this year and I've been 6 times before, it's honestly very safe if you're going to the tourist places & the people are very welcoming. As long as you're not going near the Syrian border, you'll be fine. (Remember, the parts of Turkey where most tourists go is as far away from the Syrian border as London is from Barcelona):smile:
In my opinion, it's safe. But, when I suggested going on holiday there with my friends I was met with confounded horror.
I'm flying out June 29th and coming home July 29th(hopefully )

I visited family that live 20min walk from the strait last year, it is fine

It should be! Istanbul sometimes can be a bit dangerous but little villages/holiday resorts are very safe
Personally I'd give it a miss. So many other European countries that you can go to on holiday. Greece, Spain, Portugal etc

where do you think the islamic terrorists are going to bomb?
Where the tourists are duhhhhhh
I still would. Probably a higher chance of being involved in an attack than in the western reaches of Europe, and here it's relatively high. Still the roads are far more dangerous.

I'd go to Istanbul in a heartbeat. Far too good a city to not go to.

I know, I'm just making the point that there are other parts of europe which seems a lot safer
I just came back from Marmaris a few weeks ago and it is perfectly fine over there. No issues. Istanbul and the east of Turkey is tricky though.
You can book a Air tickets on Passfeed, and you should prepare your passport and know more about Turkey.
