Hey does anyone have any predictions about what the grade boundaries for unit 1 and unit 2 will be?

1 paragraph each some and conclusion will get you 10 marks maximum, regardless how dense your points are. And to get those 10, it would have to be PERFECT! 25 mark, 2/3 each side. 40 mark, 4/6 each side with a LOT of depth and examples in every single paragraph

That's nonsense, if you did what I said you will get more than 10 marks for sure because you've given a balanced answer and your judgement, which is the main thing, the rest is just detail.

I did 4 big paragraphs and I'm pretty certain I'll get over 30/40.

Don't be sonsure of yourself...

In some mark schemes I've read, it clearly states that the candidate must include 3 paragraph for each side. So we'll all see:smile:

Unit 1 i'd say 55-56 for an A
Unit 2 56
[QUOTE=mollyadtr;65681451]Thankfully grammar and spelling doesn't actually count for the exam so that's one bonus I guess (there are no marks for spelling and grammar in case anyone didn't realise)

Even though they are no makrs for it, I'm afraid it is marked under communication skills inthink:frown:

we're doing policy making & the EU..
We have started the new year already as well! In politics we are doing "Governing the USA" (which is SO good!) and Party Ideologies and I haven't had a lesson in it yet but tbh the spec doesn't look that hard because we already studied it at AS and I have an understanding of it already.

I imagine it might be much tougher for people who never understood socialism/conservatism/liberalism etc! Only thing I have never touched on before is the anarchism part!

But US politics 😍 it can be sorta confusing but I love it!

Guess i'll find out. Policy making seems good b/c you touch on everyone's ideologies and goes from 1945 onwards (love history). But EU just looks blaaaaand
Us politics is the best and most interesting
US politics unit 4 is great, unit 3 not so much, but both are bloody hard, AS is a piece of piss compared to these.
Good luck everyone
