HOW do I forget this girl???

This girl from my university and I are good friends since a couple of months now. A few weeks ago, we went out together and came back really drunk, and a long kissing session ensued after that. The next day, we went out again and this time we made out in an empty train. A couple of days later, she told me that she'd lost her virginity to a guy already, and that she doesn't want to start a relationship with me because she's still emotionally attached to that guy.

I felt a little hurt when she told me this, and now I'm finding it difficult to get her out of my mind. I find myself thinking about her even when I don't want to.

How do I forget her? We see each other in university occasionally and it's difficult for me to avoid seeing/meeting her altogether.

If you're going to inevitably see her during university - then you won't be able to.

If she's emotionally attached to the other guy, why did she make out with you? That doesn't add up :hmmmm2: Maybe she was trying to use you to get over him...? Idk.

Sucks that happened to you. Sorry man I wish there was something I could say to help you forget about it but I guess you've just go to be patient... time will help you get over her. In the meantime, try distracting yourself by doing things you enjoy.

TBH I hate the fact that 'rebound guys' are even a thing... -.-

It goes both ways actually. I don't like people leading on other people without making their intentions clear.

Yeah f*** that b****. She doesn't care about you man. Clearly she doesn't have the same level of respect or interest in you as she does for that other dude.

Start talking to other girls

Why aren't they in a relationship?

Rebounds don't even work, while you're with rebound your thinking damn I wish it were him. It's just a mess. Girls are so awesome and funny.

Sounds like you're speaking from experience...?

But I don't think it's funny for the rebound guy IMO. :s-smilie:

The guy wasn't serious about starting a relationship with her initially, but after a few months he became more serious about it. But now the girl is a bit insecure about starting a relationship again with the guy because she feels as though she's not 'good enough' for the guy.

She was like, she only wants to have s** with one guy. She also admitted suffering from depression, having inferiority complex and being emotionally unstable. I regret falling into this 'trap' you can say. I wish I could undo this but I can't obviously, and I can't even get her out of my mind.. :s

These are all huge, huge reasons why you should refrain from dating this girl or doing anything with her. She has her own issues she needs to sort out and by the looks of it - it appears she's only going to learn how to deal with them the hard way.

Don't feel bad man, none of this is your fault. Like I said earlier, try talking to other girls, hanging out with friends/occupy yourself with hobbies... anything to get over her. I know right now it seems like she'll never leave your head, but you'll eventually get over her, trust me. Sooner rather than later.

No I'm not.

It's funny because we tend to do things that we think will help us but we just end up digging ourselves a deeper hole and into more of a emotional rollercoaster.
