Official AQA GOV3A 14th June 2016 (PM) Thread

Hi pals,

Seeing as our Politics exam is in t-total 8 hours, I thought it was about time we made a study thread.

For last minute literature and material:
Tutor2u Government and politics
Politico
Fox News (for some good ole fashion GOP jargon)
CNN news
The Washington Post (initially would have argued their centrist but in light of the recent Trump row, I'd argue their Left)
The New York Times
ABC News

Good summative videos and channels:
Crash Course Government and Politics
Vox
The Atlantic
CNN News
Fox News

Feel free to ask any questions or to speculate what might come up! Feeling like we're incredibly lucky because we're in an election year, but remember traditional and classical examples get you higher bands! An essay solely focused on 2016 may do you a disservice so it's best to limit yourself to a cursory mention of a broad range of examples, rather than front loading your exam paper with recent events!!

(Hahaha, A* politics joke!)

Good luck pals!
Ughhhhhh i'm dying, my politics folder is strangling me :frown:

Why so glum chum? What's killing you? Is this just the sheer weight of information? Because you're speaking to a long sufferer! This year I had to by 4 folders for both topics!! Hahaha!

How are you feeling about the exam? Do you know what topics you want to answer?

I don't feel as ready as I should :-(

I'm answering elections and voting behaviour.

But oh gosh! I don't feel ready yet :frown:

But that's the beauty of afternoon exams: you've got time!!

Is there anything in particular you feel uncertain about? Perhaps I can help?

How did everybody find it? What questions did you do? How did you answer them?

I did elections and pressure groups. Spent a bit too long on the 10 marker for elections so I couldnt write as much for the 30 marker, but I feel as if I still managed to do ok, at least enough for me to get a B on this paper
