cuz there was something about potassium dichromate turning green, so it's oxidized. so it can't be a tertiary alcohol? but that's what I drew :'( *sob*
Not sure (I didnt getthia in the exam) but I think it might be CH2(OH)C(CH3)2CH2CHO
I don't think it can be this because it has to be a primary alcohol to be oxidised to green and the proton nmr is a much higher number for the H in CHO, the highest in the table was only 3.8 I think?
