I wrote about the same
I'm sorry but what the fuk were those 15 markers......
Ahh, that exam actually went alright. I did unit 3D: Global Politics

Decent questions, was a bit spoilt for choice in the 45 markers because I revised those 3 topics really well. Avoided any 15 marker from topic 1 approaches to global politics.

Did anyone answer the Hard power still being the dominant form of power 45 markers?
Managed to finish in the nick of time, but the invigilator made us finish 1minute earlier than we were supposed to finish- I could have written one or two more sentences for my conclusion, which is now left as a pretty standard conclusion.
What did you guys out for conservative 45 marker, " is the new right more united than divided" ????

I argued it's more divided due to the fact that neoliberal believe in a minimal state- culture dependency, with neoconservative - liberal rational, self interested, economics -(United) anyone else ???

For new right coherence I did:

Human nature - rational vs flawed.
View of society - atomistic vs organic
View of state intervention - free-market vs. Authoritarianism

However, limited but strong state, plus human nature is divisive over social and economic grounds, but leads to unity in real life.

That enough?

Is this the conservative 45 marker?? I wrote the same ish - I first focused on free market economics and said they both believed in it- also linked it to Burke whom was in favour of the free market suggesting that market laws were natural, then I talked about neoconservatism- going back to the traditional social order and discipline- Christian values - against permissive society
Then neoliberalism- minimal state constructed with rational self interested individuals, less welfare as Hayek said collectivism was merely creating a new serfdom, I mostly argued against the question, I believe they are more divided then United overall-

I did the same! I was so tight for time I didn't think I would make the conclusion. How did you structure it?

I think that the 45 markers will be
Anarchism: collectivism vs. individualism
Conservatism: pragmatism vs. principle
Liberalism: State

For the 15 markers, I'd say
Socialism: Collectivism
Socialism: Fundamentalism vs. Revisionism
Liberalism: Economic vs. social liberalism
Conservatism: Tradition and continuity
Anarchism: differences with Marxism

Your predictions were so on point! What do you predict for Unit 4B?
Answered paper 3D.

Recap: I only wrote an intro & 1 paragraph for the 25 mark and 45 mark questions in unit 1 & 2 respectively. For 3D, I somehow finished with 15-20 mins to spare!

REALLY HATE EDEXCEL'S TIMING.

Questions were nice, but a lot of the answers seem to have a globalism/hegemony overlap. However, thankfully, none of them compounded questions from different units ( like the EUone with constitutional impact/devolution).
(edited 7 years ago)
What was the liberalism, socialism and anarchism 15 markers? Were the predictions right by most of you guys? Were the Questions worded any different? The questions that came up, what years did they come up in previous examinations? Sorry for these Qs but I'm retaking only unit 4B and just wanted to know how well 3B went. I got an A last year for 3B but a D in 4B
Looool I wrote 2 and a half? Anyone think this is enough?

it's usually what you write/if you wrote it well. don't worry though many people don't write tonnes - it's better not to waffle and write a little less than waffle for 10 pages (aka what I do)

What 45 marker did you do?
What did everyone say for that revisionism question?
