i believe that your answer to q3 where they ask you for the p(t=3)=1/2 is incorrect , since the p of 3 alone is 1/2 and you can also obtain a total of three from (1,2) + (2,1) + (0,3)

noo i didnt solve it like that

p(t=3) = (4/16)/1/2= 1/2
my answer was 23/36 , what i did is the following
to obtain a total score of 3 or a three you have to add
p(3)+p(0,3)+p(1,2)+p(2,1)

I did the same
did you obtain the same answer ? and what was your answer for the given question?

thats exactly what i did , what about the question below it , where they asked for the p(3 given rolled twice) i obtained 5/18

Yes i did it like that except for part 3 i beleive it was my mistake
There was a question 2 i believe there was a coding where v=(t-5)/10

in the last part he asked for the estimation for mean and standard deviation
i made t the subject correct me if i am wrong

For the mean yeah just make t the subject but for standard deviation only multiply by 10

For mean this is correct but for sd just multiply v by 10 because adding something in coding doesnt affect sd

Lol my wholw question is wrong
So lost 8 here and 5 in venn diagram

what i did is i made t the subject so its like 10v+5 is = t

then said E(t)=10XE(v)+5

for standard deviation i did
Var(t)= 10^2 x Var(v)

i converted the s.d i got on the upper part to the variant and mulitplied with the 10^2

i hope what i did correct xD

part 3 wasn't for 8 marks ?
What was the skewness?
Ahhh... Finally exams over for me.Paper was easy.I did lose marks in q2.but I'll get atleast 1 mark in that.
And for r and q both were positive right? I don't remember my probability questions :P and you were supposed to the 'show that B=3/8' using simultaneous eq.s

I don't understand, how did you get Variance wasn't it just standard deviation
