If it's k, I got 1.

If it's tan(alpha), I got 1/sqrt5.
I got k= tan^2(alpha) ...
My answers (prob got the shortest distance wrong cos I took the wrong angle :frown:

1) tan a = root 5/5
2) k=1
3) not sure. I recalculated it and its around 50m?
4) d = 12/e, x = 6m
5) Distance traveled = 1.5 + u(pi/6)
6) Stable equilibrium

Any thoughts guys about grade boundaries and full UMS and A*?

3.a 5sqrt(17), bearing of 256 b.46.8m

I think lol

Dammit ! Got it right after I recalculated it when I walked out from the exam hall :/

4) 12/e right?

How sure are you on 5c) I got the same but not confident

1. 1/sqrt5
2. k=1
3. 5sqrt17, 256.0, 48.5
4. d=12/e, x=6
5. u, 3+u(pi)/6 (??????????????)
6. Stable
Hc is +3 not +1.5.

looks good but I got 1.5+u (pi)/6 on 5c)

I think it was 12/e? - I see you've changed it now, apologies lol

Not sure, seemed more difficult than last year's but nowhere near 2012

I got his answer since th particle moves at speed 2u it takes 1.5/U to get to B so distance the particle travels is 3 and relative distance is 1.5. And before that it travlled piu/6 hence piu/6+3

Posted from TSR Mobile
Can anyone remember the amount of marks it was for each question?
Pretty easy I thought probably high boundaries

Posted from TSR Mobile
I think it's +3 because after the car covers y and the string length, B is still moving and it comes to 1.5. But I don't know...

Why does it move at speed 2U?

Yeah thinking about it after the fact, it wasn't that hard. Only that one 5d really messed with me, as well as k=1, but otherwise not that unreasonable as I felt during the paper
