Lol what idiots, it was definitely the most difficult S2 paper I've ever seen and that's saying something because I've done the majority of them starting from 2003
Do you guys want the paper, and the answers i believe are correct?
Yes Please!!
Question 4 was just a joke
These are the answers I got in the exam as far as I can remember, I am not saying they are 100% right... Feel free to correct me.

1a) Mean(W)=6 Var(W)=36
b) P(W=4)=0.09938

2a) 95% C.I. [62.542,64.898]
b) n=56

3a) Upper Quartile=41.68625
bi) Probability=0.4168
bii)Probability=0.9066

4a) Ix-yI>1.431
bi) Probability=0.7016
bii) The probability of accepting the incorrect conclusion is very high, meaning the test is not reliable.

5ai) Ho: p=0.7 H1: p<0.7
aii) p-value=0.2178, Insufficient evidence to conclude the gremination rate is not 70%
b) p-value=0.02275, Strong evidence to conclude that the germination rate is les than 70%

6a) P(Y<8)=0.8
bi) Y=20-X
bii) P(XY>64)=0.6
c) E(XY)=200/3
What would 60/75 give me as a UMS considering it was a hard paper?

I'd say about 90%+ easily this year, maybe even mid 90s considering so many people left out that 14 mark question

I got a different answer for 4a). i got your answer at first but i realised that it was a two sided hypothesis so you had to use the 95% level (not sure if that made sense). i ended up getting 1.473

You might be right, I used 1.2816 instead of 1.6449, i think your answer is correct as it is two sided so you split the SL into two.
