Do girls really like geeky guys?

From my observation girls dgaf about geeky guys and yet all I read on articles and forums is how much girls love geeky guys. Is this like a marketing strategy by the tech industry or do you actually like them?

P.S. I'm a guy but I understand that girls prefer jacked, outgoing, arrogant dudes.

Nah, i personally love geeky guys. My boyfriend is a geek, and a nerd, and we've been together for half a year now... I would never personally go for an arrogant guy, because yeah, they're arrogant and usefully f***-boys and such.

What people describe as geeks, I find cool and those that people generally deem as cool, I find uncool :colondollar:

I like guys who are into the typical 'geek' stuff such as science, sci fi, cult movies, gaming, debates, wear glasses etc.

My boyfriend and I have been together for 2 and a half years now and we're both super geeky together 😂 We play Pokemon together and watch game of thrones and he loves dragonball z. No one likes a douchebag.

Geeks typically earn the most money, so later in life will find it easier to attract women. In school however, where everyone's of a similar playing field, geeks are typically thrown to the back of the dating queue. Make of that what you will.

It is my experience that girls do not like geeky guys. It's just what I've observed in real life with my friends. I know all sorts of guys and am friends with most of them. Geeky guys are the least popular. I've very interesting friends who are knowledgeable about history and art but are not popular at all. I've boring or at least friends who're not doing anything special apart from drinking/socialising and playing sports and they're a huge hit. The main differences are that former are not particularly good looking while the latter are. Also, confidence. They look good, they know it and they are confident about it.

Yet if you actually read articles on magazines or on websites/forums, you'll find a large minority of girls who will confess their love for recluse geeky guys (this very post is flooded with such girls).

Does not compute.
