I got all the same apart from kWh question but thats probably my error  I got something like 14p! Oh an I got 560,000J, again probably my error

i got that too! i was the only one so thinking it was pretty wrong
i did speed x time for distance then force x distance

The double glazing is exactly the same as the january 2012 six mark.

Basically there is two methods of the transfer conduction and convection

The warm air particles are moving fast more kinetic energy. The bump into glass particles so transfer this kinetic energy so glass gains it and starts to move fast. The cold air bumps into glas gains the energy and bounces off more quickly

Opps i got 54000 p or something how many marks was it

Posted on another thread too but for calculations I got:

1800J for wasted energy
60% efficiency

60 degrees for water and 40 degrees for plastic beaker

7.83A for the highest current (oven)

2m/s^2 for acceleration
280,000J for workdone and 56,000 watts for power

540p for the kwh question

Omg I got the exact same apart from 13.75p for the cost but thats probs wrong😂
I thought the exam was good (way better than some of the past papers!!) but some of the questions were just annoying like the first page and the bit about Anita and global warming like whyyyy😂

What are the predictions for grade boundaries?

I'd guess around 55/56 for an A* because it was a fairly easy paper.

Thank god, you don't know how happy that makes me because I thought it would be like 61 like the chemistry paper last year

Oh yeah forgot you can't have have 3/4 of a penny😂
The first 6 marker can do die, the other two I found somewhat easy as it was just stating a table/graph with some knowledge or use of equations. What did you guys put for the first 4 1 markers on Ozone? It threw me off completely.

I got 140,000J for the work done as I worked out the distance was 1/2 x 10 x 10 so 50. Then multiplied that by the force (2800) to get 140,000J? I may be wrong idk

It was 1/2*10*20 = 100 mate because the base was 10 and height was 20.

What did you do to get 56000 watts, I got 28000

I think you had to say that the air gap stopped conduction so the window on the outside wouldn't be hot so wouldn't transfer its heat energy to the cold particles, keeping the inside warm.

Sorry I didn't mean that in 'you're silly' way but in a yay someone else got the same answer way 😅 you'll probably still get the mark because it's the right answer and they didn't ask you to round

Anyone going to do a unofficial mark scheme?

2800*20

Aaaah I divided 280000 by 10 because the van did 280,000J of work

and power = work / time, 280,000/10 = 28,000

Really disappointed I didn't get that

Is there a unofficial markscheme for this paper?

I got 1080p for the cost of keeping it on for 20 hours... what did I do wrong?

Hey I also got this too! I dont know if u did this but I saw that it produced 1500J (1.5kW) in 0.5 hours so to get 1 hour, I doubled it by 2 to get 3000W (3kW)!
I then did 3 times 20 to get 60 and then 60 times 18 to get 1080p.... :/

Im not sure though, I've been hearing different answers so I'm quite worried!
