OCR (non mei) FP3 Friday 17th June 2016

Hi!
This is for discussion pre and post the up coming FP3 exam :smile:

I like FP3 more than FP1 and FP2. I need to brush on some topics though like vectors or else I could totally be screwed over by OCR....
Anyone else struggling with Vectors?

Examsoloutions is excellent for tutorials, and physucsmathstutors has all the oast paper questions. I self teach so have the FMSP Integral resources which are also good, but tbh just do all the past paper questions and youll be fine

Quite good in general, just worried about the polar coordinates/complex number questions, I'll never understand them, yourself?

why can't you understand them?
Groups/Vectors scare me, so different from everything else in other modules
Is polar form e^ix with 0<x<2pi ?

Whats cartesian form for complex numbers?

Whats the name of the form cos(x)+isin(x) ?

I believe Cartesian would just be z=re^ix

I think the latter name is polar form.

Tbh you can work out usually f question which one you need to use.

Idk I guess just cus they ask a different question about it every single time, so its hard to get a routine kind of thing

I'm happy as long as there isn't a weird roots question or a nasty group question. I'm happy with everything else :smile:

get the easy questions done as fast as possible as its likely there is going to be a question you'll need to think about and mess around with for some extra minutes.
I feel like I know everything on the spec and can do it all, but I'm sure I'll still get ****ed over by this exam.
