Kenya May End Forced Anal Exams of Suspected Gays

I know, I just thought I'd make the point :smile:. It was quite interesting to realise that myself - I learnt about it from reading a couple of books on LGBT history, namely Gay Life and Culture.


LGBT rights in Russia and Russian culture itself is an area of fascination for me, a truly intriguing country and people, essentially cut off from the world for a millennium.

What most surprised me was the Soviet Union's attitude to the LGBT community, despite being very accepting (relative to the rest of the world) under Lenin, Stalin and his successors labelled homosexuality a "capitalist vice" and duly outlawed it. One would have thought a supposed socialist state would be more open minded...though the ussr was hardly socialist.

Hopefully I'll find out more when I start Russian at uni in September... I believe there's a module on this very subject.

Perhaps I shall give that book a read, thanks :smile:

I know this isn't very appropriate ... but its not gay to inspect another man's hole to determine if he had gay sex?! What?

Even worse... what if a man was a victim of man on man rape or sexual assault? They probably brand him a homosexual and throw him in prison. I honestly don't know who has time spending their days sticking their fingers and men's holes day after day...

They're not doing to find signs of prostate cancer. They're doing it for the fun of it. Kenya should outlaw that practice. It proves nothing .
It sounds to me like they're trying to find prisoners. Not because they are prisoners.

how is this test performed exactly? Do they take a look and if theres a dick up there, then hes declared gay?
