Okay so ive done y=0 and got x as 3p^2
Ive done x=0 and got t as 3/2p , now what do i do next?

Have you drawn a diagram? Do you have the coordinates of A, B and P?

P(1/p,p^2)

Actually it's probably quicker to use similar triangles.
