Flemings left hand rule?
ThuMb - Movement (of wire or whatever)
First finger - Field (direction of magnetic field)
SeCond finger- Direction of Current

And transformers?
Step up, increases the pd from the first coil to the second coil
Step down, decreases the pd from the first coil to the second coil

There is a soft iron core in the centre (as it is magnetic)

An alternating current is passed through the primary coils, it produces a magnetic field that continuously changes direction. The soft iron core increases the strength of the magnetic field. The secondary coil cuts through the changing magnetic field, inducing an alternating potential difference across the ends of the coil.

it's just IMAGE height over OBJECT height

and to calculate POWER (IN DIOPTRES) it's 1 over the FOCAL LENGTH (which is in metres)

Ohhhhh yes. Awful.
At least we're all in the same boat: if we found it hard, it's likely that the grade boundaries will be VERY low indeed

P3 48 for ah A* is the highest
