1)A = -1/2, B = 9/2
-1 + 7x - 22/3 x^2 + O(x^3)
-1/2 < x < 1/2

2)x = 0°, 99.6°, 206.4°

3)A = -3, B = 2, C = 9
p = -69/2 (lol), q = 9/2

4) m = 181g, t_1/2 = 330 days

5) p = 2/15
r = 1/3, s = 4/15

6) cos theta = 13/35
intersection = (2, 0, -1)
C = (5/2, -5/6, 7/6), D = (3/2, 5/6, 5/6) (or vice versa)

7) gradient = e^4/2

8) k = 12, c = -pi (but if you put the +c on the opposite integral, you would have got c = pi assuming that's correct)

Anyone agree?


I got different co-ordinates for C and D in question 6, can't remember exact vales but mine had thirds in, and an integer for the x co-ordinate

100 UMS - 66
A* - 61
A - 55
B - 49
C - 43

I think my estimate might be a bit low for the 100 UMS mark but 66/67 would probably be 100, if not close to it.

I believe the consensus was that k =6 , not 12

Would I get 7/7 for follow on marks for 8b) even though I put 1/2tan^-1(3x/2), because I integrated correctly and got c=pi?

Didn't get the vectors question. Other than that I think it was just arithmetic errors or silly things, but I don't think I've improved on last year's grade anyway so it doesn't matter.

To be perfectly honest my friend im an A grade maths student so only pay attention to the A boundary, i reckon for c3 an A will be 56 or 57. For core 4 i reckon 57 or 58
