Telling a teenager the facts of life is like giving a fish a bath

I agree with this so much it's the most accurate thing, I relate to this more than I do to my parents who still think I'm 9.
And who says that fish don't need baths?
No one can say with certainty about things to do with life. Not everything is black and white.
It's a perfect simile.

it means it is pointless to tell them the facts of life just like fish dont need baths, they already are bathing effectively so its similarly pointless
