Is it normal a straight guy to feel uneasy around homosexuality?

Would anyone really describe themselves as homophobic?

Maybe, maybe not. But I think you're being too quick to use that word and turning this into something ugly - perhaps it's because you can't relate to it?

Lol, whatever you mad cat.

Great logical argument you have there.

What's the point of arguing with you lol?

I have absolutely nothing against their way of life. I don't care who they choose to love, it's their choice.

I just get this feeling whenever I see gays making out or whatever. I wouldn't say disgust, because that's a pretty vile way of describing love, I just guess it's because I'm straight that I feel this way.

Seeing a girl kiss a girl turns me on, seeing a girl kiss a guy turns me on, but seeing two guys kissing doesn't.

Girls like seeing two guys kiss, so it balances it out.

Or maybe you're too slow to use that word. Maybe, but at least I'm not the one disgusted by certain types of love.

Sadly, this is normal because we live in a society of childish, sex-obsessed teenage 'lads', lmao.

Nothing, it just proves that you can't back yourself up and you're just here to look for validation.

Girl + girl = turn on
guy + guy = disgust.

sounds like homophobia to me. You just wanna sound like you're not homophobic. But props to you for being for same sex marriage.

Jesus christ what an idiot you are. I guess every straight man who doesn't watch gay porn is homophobic too then
I think it's because heterosexual relationships are the norm and you're used to seeing them, whereas you don't really see gay couples make out that much, so you get uneasy when you see something you're not used to. I'm gay myself and even I feel a bit strange seeing two guys making out or even two girls - not because I think it's wrong or disgusting but because I don't see it very often. If I saw it as often as heterosexual couples I wouldn't feel uneasy. As for you liking girl on girl, well that has been hyper-sexualised in the media and you probably watch girl on girl porn so that's no surprise.

I'm not disgusted by it, and I most certainly would not stop two guys from doing it or make strange remarks/judgemental noises - nor would I encourage two girls to do such a thing. It's just a 'turn off' in a sense.which makes you feel.. strange, I suppose.

I do :colone:

So it isn't homophobic then?

I agree with that it's down to not seeing too many gay people.

Oh, I was actually talking about OP, not you.

Your own sexuality.

Kidding though. You feel how you feel. You don'y need to justify how you feel, as long as you don't start trying to make gays feel uncomfortable too. Yes, people should ideally do that in private, but people kiss, so whatever.

What SeanFM said echoes my thoughts...

You really are confrontational.

Idk. One of my friends is gay and he says chose to start dating guys one day since he was tired of girls.

edit: Not everything is fixed from the moment you were convinced and unchangeable. No scientist is sure yet despite decades of research going into it. At the moment we don't even know for sure how intelligence is genetically determined, let alone sexuality. But loads of people jump to conclusions and posts blogs since people will take their words as gospel.

But back on topic, it's not homophobic. It makes sense for someone not attracted to guys to be completely turned off by 2 guys kissing yet (in a lot of cases) be turned on by 2 girls kissing. I don't know that's even a controversial opinion when literally giving it 10 seconds of thought should be enough to clear things up.But I guess people on here will argue about anything

That's a tough one to answer.
I'm not attracted to girls, but I feel neutral seeing heterosexual couples because they're basically in my face (counter argument for the classic 'yhh idm homosexuality jus not in my face kl'), but I feel different seeing gay couples together because I've not been exposed to them enough. (so no, gays are not 'in your face' for those who say they are)

Then he is not gay. He's choosing to sleep with men - there is a difference.

If he is genuinely attracted to men then he has always been either bisexual or homosexual.
