So do you feel like the hearing aids are adequate?
Argh, mine was only half an hour away but I thought it was so worth it! Oh no, that's a shame, so are you in sixth form now? It was the same in my secondary school, but I think it was kind of good cuz it meant more independence.
Hmm, in primary school, it was obvious and so I was excluded and not really given a chance to socialise/mix with the mainstream kids which was painful. Then in secondary school, I wore a hijab so it wasn't obvious and when people did ask me and I told them, they didn't really care which I loved.
Now I'm in college and I haven't really dared to tell anyone besides the nosy ones who ask (why can't people just mind their own business >.>
because I don't want people thinking differently of me/pitying me/ I'm really paranoid and insecure about it.
How about you? How did you find people reacted to you and did you manage to cope after a sudden lack of support in high school?
