It was the Equation of the circle question

I got
1) 3x^2-20x
2) a=3 b=-20
3)n=12 b) 3/5
4)(-5, 8) b)root 10
5) x=39 degrees
6)m=8 p= -1
7) 9, 10, 11
8) x=121
9) x^3-15x^2+75x-125
10) -80
11) Gradient AB = -5/2, Gradient BC= 2/5
12) h=3 k=-7
13) x=45
14) 3a=3 a=1 b)(x+2)(x-7)(x-3)
15) 2root 7 -4
16) I got 5/6 but answer was -5/6 because it was obtuse
17) k = 9
18) (x^2+9)(x-3)(x+3)
19) 3 + 3 + 3 + 3root 3 is what you get for totals and factorise it to 3 (3+root 3)
20) w = 3n because y use cosine rule and the answer = 1/3 rearrange it and then factorise it into two solutions but answer cant be negative so its n=w/3 and w=3n so two lengthsare equal and u get isosceles

Fair play, mate got pretty much the same except for question 11 and 18
for Q7, would it be ok if i put my answer as 8<x<12?

You'll probably get all the marks

There was a question related to completing the square in a quadratic equation and you were meant to answer in the form (a+-sqrt.b).

What if you solved it by using the quadratic formula :frown:

Pretty sure the answer to question ten is 80 not -80!

It was only 1 mark, so you'd get the mark as long as you had -3±√7

It said state the integer values, so you'd probably drop one as giving it as a range

It was only one mark so don't worry. They just wanted the answer -3 +/- SQRT 7

Instead of root 100, I believe it was root 80

Hi
Can I know how hard people found todays paper please. I think I got 58/70. I just want to see if it was just me struggling more than the past papers or everyone else as well. Thanks

Yeah I think you're right. I was going off what someone got for their answer, which was 45. Now I've remembered I got 65.
