Yeah I think it was that, I don't get how you solve it though

I subbed G into F

Got 28 / (x-2) = x + 1

Then ended up with X^2 - x - 30 = 0

which Im pretty sure is wrong and unsolvable

(x-6)(x+5)=0
x=6
x=-5
@kprime2 You uploading the paper today?

Same here :s-smilie:

They changed the sign from cos - sin something to cos + sin, on the bottom of the fraction so you had to reverse this in Rcos(x-26.57)
I don't remember the first question what were the numbers?
What was the question for 5i? Sure I got an answer of 0.9016 or something
I got 8cosec(4y), apart from that I agree completely
Wait I'm dumb I forgot to flip the 4 to 1/4 when doing dx/dy -> dy/dx :frown:
(edited 7 years ago)
how do you do question 5 a and b?

How many marks was 5ii? I think I differentiated it to 4Sin2YCos2Y and then I got 0.5Cosec2Y for my final answer because I forgot to double the angle

Can someone post the method for the question where there was long division and finding the equation of the normal? I know my answer is wrong but I don't know how and I'm hoping I didn't lose all those marks

(x-6)(x+5)? maybe use the quadratic formula to check next time
For q2 was it x<-root5 and x>root5 for dy/dx<0
Does anyone remember how many marks each question was worth?
For the arc sin i used 90 and -90 degrees instead of half pi would i lose a mark for that?

Yep - that's what I got anyway
What do you guys think the grade boundaries will be?

For 3(c), I don't understand why the lowest value of theta wasn't just 33 from part b?

anyone help?

It was the same but it had PLUS sin rather than MINUS sin
