I can't remember the last time my parents and I hugged. We don't do all the hugging and declaration of love stuff. It's just not us.
I hug my mum every day, I can only hug my dad when I see him (every couple of weeks)

No, I got a little tipsy the other month, mum said YOU HUGGED ME. I was like erm yes. She was over the moon. I don't hug much tbh.

They just lecture you instead
My mum is incredibly touchy feely so she hugs me for everything e.g. going to school, good morning, good night, feeling happy, etc. Basically several times a day.

I used to up until I was like 11 but then I stopped, I'm not like an awkward teenager around them I just don't really like affection when it's family lol
