@kprime2

For
2b I wrote -sqrt5<x<sqrt5 (3 marks) minus 1?
5i I was up to 3cos4x-4sin4x=0 and didn't go any further (5 marks) minus 3?
5ii I wrote cosec4y obviously missed the 0.5 (5 marks) minus 2?
6b I got the gradient -1/4 (calculator error everything else correct about the method? (5 marks) minus 2?

Roughly how many marks will I get from these questions with the mistakes? (mainly method marks I guess)

Thanks

@kprime2
I dropped marks on 5i) for finding the principal solution (0.64..) then leaving it, as I misread the range it gives as -pi/4 - pi/2 which was kinda stupid lol
I also dropped marks on 9c, I had it up to the bit where you times the whole thing by e^-2t and solve from there, I did continue and got an expression with ln's in it but not sure it would be worth marks, it didn't work so..
Anyways what do you think that leaves me on? -2 or -1 for the trig?
-3 or -2 for the last question?
thanks in advance
Do you think I will get a mark on the arcsin question for
1)drawing the arcsin graph like as if it was flipped across the y axis
2)for the bit after that substituting in arcsin(X+1)=-pi/3
Or any marks for
3) instead of finding the limits of X properly I did x>+-rt5 or whatever the value was so basically attempting to solve it

cheers

Will there be C34 solutions?
Original post by kprime2
Wasn't too bad
Most questions were standard.
Lots would have done 6(a) the long tedious way, made algebraic errors and wasted time
9(b)(c) would probably have confused students under exam conditions.

I reckon 62ish for an A

Thanks very much sir!

For question 3c) I gave 2 solutions rather than just the 86.1. Would they deduct 1 accuracy mark from that?

They've already been done by someone else. There's a thread on it

on the m2 unofficial mark scheme thread. Someone's posted the solutions with the paper. It's either on the first or second page go through the posts
Would I lose a mark for leaving my answer for 4aii) as 1/2ln(25/4) instead of ln(5/2)?

How many marks do you think would be given in 5i for correct working but the final answer was not in range?

i did that aswell and we probably will since the question said "give to simplest form"

what UMS would 57 marks be ?

and what will i need for c4 and s2 to get an A
How man marks will i lose for drawing the arcsin(x) graph reflected about the y-axis despite getting everything else correct?

When do you usually get the C4 paper?

Are you doing model answers for C4 by by any chance?? Thanks

if i only put the correct answer because it doesn't ask for me to show or prove will i still achieve full marks?
Would I lose all 4 marks for putting the power as T-5 rather than T+5 in the last question?
C4 solutions tomorrow?
