When you convert √2 in decimal form the value would be 1.4 or just 1 so it will just move by unit then. But I'm asking for a detailed solution with this problem because I don't understand why the answers are (0,6), (0,4), (-2,6), (-2,4).

No need to convert to decimal. Think about the length of a line from (0,0) to (1,1) - remember Pythagoras.

2\sqrt{2} is the distance between the point (0, 0) and the point(1,1).
