Can anyone remember how to get the Cartesian equation in question 9?
I got 2x^3 - 6x^2 + 5x but i don't think its right

You user x = 1-cost to get cost=1-x and then replace cost in the y=sintsin2t.

My finally answer was 2x^3-6x^2+4x which intersects the x-axis at (0,0) (1,0) and (2,0)

pretty sure it was y=2x^3 -6x^2 +4x, which then would factorise to:

y= 2x(x-1)(x-2)

if i didnt finish the last q and put ln(y) =(ln(1/144)+2) how many do you think ill lose?

1, 2 max
For the last questions, right before i got to the solution i did:

ln(y) = -ln(144) + 2
ln(y) +ln(144) = 2
this is where i went wrong:
i put: ln(y/144) = 2 and then went to say 144e^2 = y

Because i was rushed I ****ed up my log rules, so got the wrong answer (should have been y = 1/144e^2 )

how many marks would i lose?

Tbh last year ther was one hard question, the differential equations question, and the rest was extremely easy. This year the integration was really hard imo, not the hardest but still pretty bad.

It was similar difficulty not the same, I still made some errors. However, generally it wasn't the hardest paper.
Can anyone remember what the actual implicit differentiation question was?
Does anyone remember what q2 was?
what grade do people think 61 marks will be?

oh well for the larr question i got 1/144 e^-2. how many marks do you think id lose?

Im thinking probably high A if we're lucky and the boundaries are low then perhaps sneaking into an A*

12.7 and 77.3?
all i can remember is that you found 2alpha so you have to divide wat eva 2 values you got by 2
to show they were the same line in the vector question, if I showed that both lines went through the same 2 points is that enough?
The implicit differentiation doesn't look familiar at all from that white paper mark scheme.
What exactly was question 2 and 3 again?

Do you get a fraction within a fraction with 1/x^2
Anyone rememeber what the limits for question 4 were exactly??

Yeah i did. Had x^(-2) in the numerator

Yeah mines the same, just time send though by x^2

would you get full marks for not multiplying by x^2 or -1 mark?
