Why leaving was a good idea

Better than being controlled by an unelected body. The speed that you would throw away your freedom for trinkets and then whine when others don't want the same disturbs me.

Nobody elected David Cameron as PM unless they lived in his constituency, nobody elected the Lords that can block all our legislation, nobody's electing our next PM, and nobody elected the queen. We've always been controlled by unelected bodies.

We have more power in the EU than your MP has in Parliament.

The next two years will be bumpy yes, EU will be sweeped out of our streets, UK will stand alone again but will trade. It will stablize as currency bounces up and down, making us more competitive as lower currency, wage boost as currency is LOWER, Scotland won't leave because they are -1 from majority, meaning we got 2020 to do a deal before it even sparks. Wales is set is stay, so is England... London won't be independent thats an easy saying.

When we do trade deals with the REST OF THE WORLD, EU is a declining region we will grow and stablize back to what we was, because they are DEVELOPING/GROWING economies we'll be better off than EU in growth, minding our own business. However, in short term we'll have a bumpy ride.

As currency goes down, wages will increase ofcourse not right now but in 2-3 years at a fast rate to get back to $ to £ before brexit, then boom as demand grows as immigration wouldn't be a problem... most likely Boris Johnson doing the deal and he won't accept anything with free movement of people, or regulations.

We didn't need bumpy years. Bumpy could easily lead to disaster. No one has any faith in these politicians and soon it will be businesses fleeing the sinking ship. Short term bad. Long term probably also bad. There is no guarantee it will be better. We just made our future a lot less safe and harder for no reason.

Also Scotland is leaving. Its a formality at this point, they're gone. They weren't keen about staying as it is and you've royally delivered the SNP their freedom on a platter.

You're aware that most people voted for cameron not their local mp right? Nobody gives a toss who their local mp is really. Sure, it's not proportional representation but it is better than a fake parliament with no power.

If that is too hard to understand there is no helping you.

No it chose fear over rational thinking.

I would hate to say most leave supporters are racist but a large proportion are and their reasons were solely to do with immigration with no second thought to other issues which would arise.

I hate people like you...
Blame everyone on racism whenever you're lacking arguments.
There is NOTHING racist about not accepting refugees (that's the main problem) into your country. How many refugees did rich countries like Saudi, UAE, Qatar accepted? NONE! EXACTLY 0!
Wanna know why? They are afraid. You don't know who they are. Where from. You know nothing about them. They are afraid of ISIS. ISIS is anti-muslim and they are afraid.
EU is stupid enough to allow them without any control and let them enjoy all the benefits! In first place it was 'okay' but then it became a huge problem with the amount of refugees.
It's not my fault that those people couldn't run their country. I don't want to be affected negatively by someone's mistake. I want to live in a peaceful place. I don't want to be afraid that my family may be blown up in the central London. Why are Muslims above the law? YES! Above the law! I cannot wear a hat, sunglasses or anything else that my cover my face and Muslims can cover their entire face in the name of "religion" and that's acceptable?!?!?!

I'm just ashamed that everyone was lying and trying to convince the nation to support their decision. There should be something like "hour of truth" (idk just random name). Then people could discuss all the potential outcomes and what's currently happening in the EU & UK without fear. Without fear for some idiot to call them racist. There would be nothing racist but the truth hurts.

People voted for the party, maybe, but they didn't vote for the leader.

How do they have no power? They vote on all legislation, that's what a parliament does.

Agreed. Agreed. Agreed.

They cannot propose bills. So, therefore, an unelected body can decide what they want, and we have no power besides maybe saying no and the other nations overriding us.
How long would it take for Scotland to leave?

First paragraph lies, second paragraph also lies if you didn't read in Scotland " low turnout " which means unknown if it was a high turnout, its as if they don't even care if they stay in or out.

I go to uni in Scotland, believe me when I tell you people have opinions on independence and you've just ruined their economy so they are more than willing to throw you under the bus in return and you've given them the chance.

First paragraph lies? Because as it is now, its a shambles. Where is your miracle solution coming from? Its shaky ground at best, ridiculously dangerous for no advantages other than some people get to be more openly xenophobic now.

University is full off young people, ofcourse they'll do what they hear it takes someone with a actual brain to think carefully.

How do you know if its going to be better/worse off in long-term? How do you know we won't be safe?

Oh lets insult young people. They were the ones that ruined the economy today? Oh wait that was Leave voters.

You have no evidence it will be better long term. We know it will be worse short term. We have sacrificed security and safety for no guarantee of anything expect we will have to work extremely hard to keep what we got because morons voted leave.

THATS YOUR ARGUMENT? I voted to leave because "we'll see". You have caused irversavble damage to the country and economy for that.

We'll see means we will end up better off as the government specialises with the country, why is EU in terminal decline for?

That would work if people had faith in the government and that still is long term not the years of recession and slow growth you have condemned us to.

I'm not a soft leafie, I just don't like having the country ruined over nothing. Also faith in Boris? I don't have faith he could tell a joke properly.
