What you don't understand is that IN THE LONG TERM....everything will be wonderful.

That is after we lose thousands of high paying jobs, pound collapses, unemployment increases and have zero percent growth.

Yes I know so that's why I asked about whether they could allow DB to fail. They won't do that. I mean there will be a solution.

What makes you think they have that sort of control? Normalcy bias?

Yes you are precisely right; normalcy bias. But you know, at least I am not the one with illuminati avatar.

One of the reasons I wanted leave to win is so that London hopefully has fewer traders and bankers. That would hopefully mean fewer bonuses and fewer houses bring bought.

Aren't you a prospective banker? You think thousands of people losing their jobs in an industry you want to get into amongst others is a small price to pay for what is essentially some insecure little Englanders being able to feel better about their precious freedom regardless of how the economy is affected?

UK would of been bankrupt if we stayed in. You think mass unskilled labour is great for a country which still runs a welfare state?

Majority of these jobs barely pay enough to pay London rents. We need more domestic firms/entrepreneurs not speculators.

Oh the irony. "UK would of been bankrupt if we stayed in", you were saying about not needing speculators?

I don't want to go into fruit picking. Maybe as a summer part time job but not as a career.

Well, someone needs to do it.

I think that people who wanted Brexit should be first on the list.

There are plenty of people willing to do it. I'm just not one of them.

Who cares, we were on the way to a recession either way, by leaving the tories have escaped the blame, BHS( all be it) bankrupt lost 11,000 jobs, the steel industry due to trade restrictions implemented by none other than the EU has lost over 3000 jobs since the start of the year companies are contracting the EU are partly to blame and people are losing jobs.We will regain access to the single market despite voting leave , we will also have control over our borders because we are in the box seat we import more from the EU than we export so the EU will want to create a free trade deal with us and we can have a tailored deal, If you believe they will not thats like me opening a pub and saying you need membership to enter that will hit me in the pocket because it will limit or I will have less sales then other local pubs, that would be ludicrous. Like the EU if they do not give us a trade deal there member states would export less ( they would not compensate with other countries because the demand would not be matched) and the EU supposedly does what is best for there member states and closing the door on a country who buys a large amount of exports will not be beneficial for there member states (see this https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/1337980/germany-makes-plans-for-a-post-brexit-britain-and-wants-us-to-still-trade-with-the-eu/)
It was only last year HSBC were threatening to move to Hong Kong. Why should this country be held ransom by big corporations?
