If you care that much about WW2 veterans, maybe you should find out what they actually think before using them to push your agenda.

that is total anecdotal evidence and does not not represent the wider population, a few does not represent the overall, i however have hard evidence they voted to leave. i know for a fact my granddad, a WW2 vet, voted to leave and was not only disgusted by people like you's behaviour and treatment but is also about as reliable a statement as the article you showed, pure anecdotal evidence and non representative of the general populous.
Not defending him (and I think the older generation should vote), but what about the younger generation? They have to face the 'consequences' <-- whatever they may be. The voting age should've been atleast 2-3 years younger. And yes, it would've made a more of an impact.

I agree. Those who couldn't be bothered to vote shouldn't have right to complain about the results. For those who did, well at least you tried, right?

What about those that wanted to vote, but couldn't because it's 18+
So you're saying that those that cared *wouldn't vote on the day* cause they'd be drunk, but complain about it online?

They're the ones who were born when the whole world was a mess, and they developed the right attitudes to deliver prosperity to the countries they live in. It's no surprise to see a generation pampered by the EU all this time ***** and whine and moan when it doesn't go their way. Like anyone owed them anything. I'm happy that the reset button has been pressed on this country, let the natives prove they are worthy of a slice of the wealth that comes from elsewhere.

No, they grew up and got their first jobs, when the economies were more or less booming, except maybe of mining. Those born, when the whole world was a mess, were those born between 1914 to 1945, so at least 71 years old. And trust me, they are rather thinking "Oh no, not that **** again" than "Yeah, great!".

Telling stories about your granddad is anecdotal evidence.

I should've made my post clear...I meant those who were allowed to vote but didn't bother, instead they thought creating funny memes were a top priority than voting to protect their future.

There's something seriously wrong about those people then. If you complain about something (that you had the chance to do something about), I just can't believe it.

its true they must face the consequences, but the voting age should not be lowered. if lowered to 16, the 15 year olds would want a vote, then the 14 year old etc. there needs to be a cut off point and 18 is a suitable age as people have finally matured by that age. I being under 18 and politically motivated am a rare breed, and so apparently are 18-24 year olds interested in politics, considering only 36% of them voted the percentage of under 18s voting would be lower still, its therefore not worth it. it might be good for you but pointless to everyone else. and no, it wouldnt have changed anything.

Why is immigration within the EU a bad thing? Sure they take up jobs but isn't that a sign they're just better qualified for them than the unemployed people who endlessly whine?

When you cease to be a student and look for your first job you will be looking for somewhere to live, which is always tricky. The rental cost, or the cost to buy, your accommodation will be inflated by a significant margin because immigrants will be competing for houses and flats that might otherwise have been much more readily available to you - and they can afford to pay more than you.

A net five million people have moved into the country over the last ten years and pressure on our travel, housing and education infrastructure has vastly increased.

Yes

as i did, to compare how anecdotal your point was. if may not be particularly articulated well but my point was comparing your article to an anecdote of my own to show how pointless that article was in showing anything.

Its like saying you got invited to a job interview but didn't take it and then complain that no-one has given you the chance to get the job! Just pathetic really.

after seeing all the calls for a new referendum and the outcry against the DEMOCRATICALLY decided election, especially, if not exclusively, from vocal young people i cant help but be disgusted at my generations lack of common sense and decency.

Saying that because we will deal with consequences longest only we should vote makes me sick. Saying that those who fought for the freedom to have this decision 70 years ago shouldn't have the RIGHT to VOTE is disgusted and highlights two things about our generation. We are ungrateful and cant take a hit. so anyone who actually believes in this nonsense of a statement i ask you one question, should you have the right to deny democracy to those who fought for that very thing? and if so why?

I know a fair few people who want a second referendum because the £350million to the NHS is what they voted for.
Is being lied to until you've cast your vote and it's too late democracy? Well, yes, but is it acceptable? Hell no.

I have the very, very unpopular opinion that democracy just isn't very good as a whole, in it's current state. So that's my answer.

The £350 million claim was the subject of heated discussion from the very beginning of the campaign, long before even any postal votes could have been cast.

The youth are so delicate now a days because they've been brought up in a fairy dream land where everything is great, easy and done for them. (Not all youth, but the ones complaining at democracy in action.) They're throwing their toys out of the pram because they didn't get their own way. Spoilt brats.

Get real. It's nothing to do with "getting our own way". We don't want to have to suffer the consequences of some nasty, jaded people that think everyone should suffer growing up just because they did.

So you want your own way
I'm 15, and I have to agree with this.

I'm sick and tired of my generation. I have given up. If I say "we should be able to control my borders" I get called racist left, right and centre. Anything that I say that relates to controlling immigration I get called a xenophobe or a racist. I am absolutely ashamed by the ignorance of my generation. People of my age just think that these people wanting to control immigration hate socialists and are at the far-right of the political spectrum. How are we going to even make good choices in our lives if we are reliant on lying politicians and brainwashed lefties telling young people that it is racist or xenophobic for a country to want to control it's borders? Can you just please stop and use your brain to think for a second and be independent and research into both sides of the debate like I did?

I have no problem generally with Remain voters, I only have a problem with those that start accusing all the Leave voters of being racist or xenophobic.

Democracy is democracy, people have decided to leave, if you didn't want us to leave the EU then more of you guys should have voted but you will live with the consequences now and hopefully you will learn from that. That's your own fault, tough, better deal with it.
