Edexcel GCE A2 Physics Unit 5 28th June 2016

I'm sitting this exam, and need a bit of help with question 3 of the multiple choice from this paper: http://qualifications.pearson.com/content/dam/pdf/International%20Advanced%20Level/Physics/2013/Exam%20materials/WPH05_01_que_20150618.pdf
The answer is B, but not sure how you get there. Any help is appreciated.

I think i got 3.1s for the time question. It was quite a tough paper IMO
Is there an unofficial mark scheme yet?
