MPhil in Medieval History Qs

Hi,

I know this is a postgrad question, but is anybody going to be starting at Cambridge this year to study the Medieval History MPhil?

I will be applying in September and would just like to hear from someone who has already been through the whole application process. I understand that the entry requirement is a high 2:1 (i.e.67-ish), but it would be nice to know what grades you had attained in first and second years before you applied at the beginning of your third year of undergraduate study, as I have gained a high 2:1 (over 67) in both years, but still fear that they would rather see an overall yearly grade of a 1st, esp for 2nd year?

As far as I am aware, you have to provide a transcript of your grades, and I guess what I really want to know is how balanced your own grades where when you applied? The majority of my grades (11 our of 14 modules) are firsts or high 2:1s, but then I have 3 modules that fall into the low-to-mid 2:1 bracket. Do you think this matters?

I know it probably sounds like I'm dwelling on things that don't really matter, but I don't know anybody at all who has gone to Ox or Cam, and it would just be nice to hear from someone who has been through it all themselves.

Thank you for reading this (rather long) essay!
