So for anger issues you'd mainly suggest therapy to work through why you feel that way? And you don't feel meds are helpful for anger issues?

No medication would depend on your psychological symptoms. For example to work with mood stabilisation.

There isn't really a one or the other. Therapy would work on the behavioural aspects - looking at the why and resolving anything there. It would explore ways to express anger in a healthy way and any relaxation or distraction techniques to help.

It doesn't matter whether you use meds or therapy if you believe they won't work. The highest predictor of success with any intervention is the belief of the client/patient that that particular treatment will work. This is seen with the placebo effect. If you don't believe therapy will work then it won't.

I can't make anyone's decision for them. You have to weigh up the options and choose one you'd like to try. Remembering that there are multiple kinds of therapy and, also, that within that the practitioner can be different. So how I work with clients won't suit every single one. But another counsellor may suit them
