First ever job interview today aaah!! Advice please

I have my first ever job interview today this afternoon for a supermarket close to home. In sixth form I completed a mock interview and it went well, she graded it an A* but of course that was a mock not a real one so I'm 50/50 on how it will go.

And of course I am super nervous so any advice or tips from people who have experienced job interviews would be soooo helpful!

Firstly, congrats on the job interview!

My advice would be to act confident, even if you feel like you're going to collapse inside. Try to sell yourself to the interviewer and think of how you could contribute to the business. I always try and balance it by asking questions of my own, just little ones concerning the job to show you're interested in how the business works, e.g. how much overtime will be available?

Confidence: good posture and eye contact are more important than most people think. Don't ramble your answers either but sound eloquent and use good words. Just answer straight to the point and confidently. Also when they ask you something think about what the job actually is and just answer it tailored to the qualities they want you to have.

a lot of interview success is down to body language ? try and be relaxed and happy. do not avoid eye contact with the interviewers ( but do not stare at them... ).

I can't really help you with the advice but I would say try to make a good first impression by being well-dressed etc.

If you haven't already then I would take a look at their website maybe? (If they have one!)

Some supermarkets, like Tesco for example, have 'core purpose and values'. I used to work there, but in my in my interview they asked me about my previous work experience and they would be like, 'Can you demonstrate how you have you done X at your previous job.'

Oh I know it would feel great not having to depend on monthly pocket money and I hate asking for money too. However, and I understand and my mum has every right because almost 18 and still at home, I'll be giving my mum weekly rent. Im finally growing up hahaha!

Don't know if anyone said this yet but they always tend to ask you what you know about the company. So make sure you have something to say to show you have researched them

Update to everybody who advised me.

I went for my interview, which was only five minutes long so I'm unsure about that.
Questions:
We are fast paced work how would you adapt to that - I said if I'm communicated with and taught well I can pick up things quickly.

Our customers are VIP how would you make sure they were happy when leaving the store - I said I'd do anything they needed due to good communication and if my help isn't as good I would ask a higher person up for assistant.

About myself I said how I socialise in small groups of friends and family.

She asked if I could do either the 16 hour or 8 hour contract and I said any because I'm free the whole summer.

I'm so worried that because the interview went so quick I haven't got a chance. She fired questions at me rather quickly and herself spoke quickly. I feel 50/50 about this job now.
