Am I a bad person if i'm a Tory?

i just like them better than the others, natural party of government, laid down much of what modern Britain great, and by far the most influential figures....like Labour only has had Attlee and Wilson who contributed much, we have far more better PMs.

and i'm not rich, not poor, but OK, so i don't care if people think i'm a toff. i'm not a member, i live overseas, but then if i could vote, i'd be for May. i'm also not white, so that shatters another stereotype. there is an Indian woman in the Cabinet anyhow. :wink:

There is nothing wrong with that! Many people support the tory's. I do believe one should be allowed to speak and believe something as long as it does not cause harm to anyone else.

Btw mate, this is the reason you should not have posted this on the student room. It's full of far left socialist knobs. There is nothing wring with supporting any party, literally any party. You could support EDL and we couldn't do anything about it (as long as you don't act violently etc)

tbf, labour don't either, both are self serving, one is just more obvious than the other. Labours policies make people poorer, because let's face it, they need more votes so it's in their interest to reduce the gap between middle income and poor. The conservatives benefit from funding from corporations ect so they love a bit of cheap labour. It also depends what kind of conservative you are, although I am not really one, I quite like some people in different parties but not the rest. I dislike Osborne for example, but I quite like Leadsom, my mp, and a few others. I even like Boris. I like Dennis Skinner, but not others, expecially that Emily Thronburry or Diane abbott,

I don't work in a soup kitchen. I still care about the poor and vulnerable.

Maybe I should've said "you have utter contempt for the poor and most vulnerable", because you'd have to to vote to bring that kind of harm and neglect to them purely for your own interests.

I know it shouldn't, but this thread made me chuckle 😂

I support conservatives because I like the idea of supporting yourself and not having the government spend an extortionate amount of money on benefits for people who don't want to get a job (I know not all are like this, but there are people who sponge off the benefit system. My mum is currently on disability benefits, so I know the criteria and how cuts can affect people).
My family is by no stretch rich; my parents' income is around £20000 if not less, as my dads retired and my mums disabled. I agree it doesn't matter on the party you support, but it does matter your personal views: ie it's okay to support UKIP, but it is NOT okay to go around telling people to 'go back to your own country', this is racist, no matter what party you support.

Everyone has a different opinion, and that's just how it works. I do, however, feel that people who support EDL and BNP (is that even a thing anymore?) are, in general, horrible because these are very extremist parties and so the views of the members are that of the party which is worrying.

Oh, and I'm gonna get hate for this, but I also support the conservatives because I think it's awful for some people to be taxed 50% of their earnings, 45% is still rather high, but hey ho...
