I don't work in a soup kitchen. I still care about the poor and vulnerable.

Maybe I should've said "you have utter contempt for the poor and most vulnerable", because you'd have to to vote to bring that kind of harm and neglect to them purely for your own interests.

If you care about them why don't you do something practical to help?

You don't seriously think that you putting your cross in pencil next to some left wing candidate in an election will make a jot of difference to a poor person's life?

Or do you?

Thy can't eat pencil marks, and no Labour Government will ever come into being so long as the party continues to advocate unlimited immigration.

(Which negatively impacts on the poorest and most vulnerable by the way which is why THEY didn't support the Labour line over Brexit...)

i just like them better than the others, natural party of government, laid down much of what modern Britain great, and by far the most influential figures....like Labour only has had Attlee and Wilson who contributed much, we have far more better PMs.

and i'm not rich, not poor, but OK, so i don't care if people think i'm a toff. i'm not a member, i live overseas, but then if i could vote, i'd be for May. i'm also not white, so that shatters another stereotype. there is an Indian woman in the Cabinet anyhow.

Nearly 40% of ethnic minorities voted for the Conservatives in the last election. Even if you don't vote Tory, you have to admire how inclusive and tolerant the Conservatives are for a centre-right political party. The Tories also fielded more ethnic minority candidates than any other party in the last General Election.

I'm also a young Conservative (just 18), we will face some challenge from the radical left, but it definitely doesn't make you a bad person.

So you are a nationalist

So you are also elitist

It is sad that you have been brainwashed to hate your own kind

The Tories eat babies, sacrifice poor people to their christian deity, and hate foreigners and non-white-british ethnics

Spoiler

eh? i am proud of my country, that is normal and healthy. and proud that our party has made a superior contribution to our country's wellbeing over the years. you're projecting if you're saying i'm being nationalist or ""elitist"...

Why would you vote for a party based on what they did decades ago?

It doesn't make you a bad person, but it means you couldn't really care less about the poor or most vulnerable.

since it is about the legacy, and our party's legacy. and doing now, which is getting a new leader (TWO female PMs, Labour never had anything close to a female leader), and we'll be united whilst Labour's "great hope" in Corbyn is being discredited.
When I find out someone is a Tory. I lose a significant amount of respect for their opinions.

Btw mate, this is the reason you should not have posted this on the student room. It's full of far left socialist knobs. There is nothing wring with supporting any party, literally any party. You could support EDL and we couldn't do anything about it (as long as you don't act violently etc)

Why are far left socialists 'knobs'? Also, how can you be part of the EDL and NOT be violent? It's impossible in my eyes.

Because socialism doesn't work. The EDL wasn't intended to be a racist organisation, it was hijacked by racists, you could support some of their original thoughts

Yes.

Next question.*

You said that anyone can support any party they wanted, and some people support Socialism. What's wrong with that if they have the right to support any party they want?
"No-one with a conscience votes Conservative" as Norman Tebbit didn't say, honestly.

Because socialism isn't a party. It's an ideology
the Tory party is the only place for Manly men.

Only if you speak like Rees-Mogg, then you're a disgusting toff according to some

Oh, and I'm gonna get hate for this, but I also support the conservatives because I think it's awful for some people to be taxed 50% of their earnings, 45% is still rather high, but hey ho...

If you cut down benefit payments it would mainly effect Brexit voters so I dont think that would work (they tend to be the very old or out of work)..

The Conservative Party is stuck trying to implement Brexit, in which the majority of its middle class voters hate, or help poor labour voters ...

Total mess.

dont talk craaap - it makes him gullible,

People do well, generally speaking because of good STATE education and good STATE infrastructure.

They tend not to do so well in failing states where the rich take it all.

SOCIALISM WORKS - hence Scandinavia does well. education, high taxation and solidarity.

BREXIT will destroy us all.

Stay in the EU to make more people successful

Personally, I just don't agree with it. It's a lot of money to take away from someone. I don't think brexit should happen, the economy has already messed up, I do feel sorry for the Conservative party... It's complete political suicide for a lot of them :/
