What do you mostly waste money on/ bad money habits?

Mine recently has been not eating properly and so spending more than necessary on food, eating out or unnecessary snacks.

Usually I'd plan my meals in advance so I could buy only the food I need plus one or two treats I want for the week so I could usually keep my food spend below £25 a week. But with constant moving around, not being home, moving home ect my routine has completely messed up and have been eating mostly convenient crap which is more expensive. Oh that and alcohol, couple of crates of beer I can go through quite quickly. But they pile on the pounds so I've decided to stop drinking except for socially which isn't often.

What about you guys? What's your guilty habit that costs you lots of money.

Food.

Socialising with friends and buying food is expensive and even attending open days and having to buy over priced food has seen a lot of my money go down the drain. I also like to buy clothes and shoes and other typical stuff but I have become better with it recently, only buying it if I know it goes with the rest of my stuff and if i'll wear it often, etc.

Yeah, the money goes so fast when you're socialising. Even if what you're buying is cheap, it adds up if you do it often.

Absolutely hideous waste on food during first year of uni as I never cooked. Thankfully cheap accommodation meant I have some of my maintenance loan for the year left
Fast food companies that keep ****ing me over!! :/

Today first time in ages getting fast food they forgot to include the chips fml and when i realised i was too far. Heartless

A month ago at mcdonalds I ordered a large meal ***** gave me large drink but regular burger and chips. Charged me for a large.

Pizza hut express ( small pizzas like 4pound) the pizza barely had tomato under the cheese fml

Kfc employees always give me attitude

Dont get me started on subway :/

I tend to not spend much money on clothes, not because I don't want to buy them. But instead because 90% of clothes don't fit me, and of the 10% that do I only like about half of them. So silver lining I guess?

But when I do shop I only shop in sales, I won't pay full price for something unless the full price is already cheap.
Wasting money on greasy takeaways then regretting afterwards for eating bad food and wasting money, then a day or two later I'd just do the same thing lol. Trying to be stricter on myself lately

I think food is a big budget problem for a lot of people.

In my experience not that many people actually know how to cook properly, and even less can be bothered. So money is wasted on convenience food. I can't really talk as I've been like that the past couple of months, but I do now how to cook and have decided to shape up ASAP.

I know some people who basically live on takeaway....like oh god. Their poor health.

A real drain on my bank account though

I don't know how I'm going to cope at university on a budget when I can't help but spoil the little monster

Alcohol has done worse to my waist than my bank balance, but still it adds up.

Haha, maybe they could go for the more healthier takeaways, like grilled-only places, i dunno
Clothes I absolutely do not need. Takeaways I do not need and always regret. Alcohol. Expensive dinners/lunches.

When you finish your takeaway and then look at yourself in disgust, like "what have you done?!".

it is by far my single biggest non-essential expenditure. I tried to cut costs by homebrewing but that was a disaster as you can imagine what with having a 40 pint keg of beer easily accessible at all times...
