Theresa May to become PM, Brexiters lose!

If she doesn't do it, UKIP will explode in popularity. It would be political suicide to ignore the referendum.

She won't reverse the referendum, but she will get us a deal where we will basically be in the same position as if we were still in the EU (free movement, access to the single market), such as like Norway

And, when the people realises this does **** all, they will vote for UKIP.
The Brexiters haven't lost?

We will still leave the EU.

...you hope.

Nobody can possibly predict what deal she may or may not get. If the EU doesn't want to play ball, then who says we'll get any deal beyond that which had been offered already?

Yes, but they won't get the things they hoped for. It will be like we are still in the EU

the important thing is we have a firm hand on the tiller as we abandon the safe harbor of the EU and set sail in our leaky tub for nobody knows what reason to nobody knows where.

Are you sure she will be able to get this deal? I hope we can have free movement but how can we know? Has she promised it? Not that promises say much recently

There was no general election and you can't possibly know what things "they" hoped for. May doesn't have a specific pre-election promise to fulfil other than exiting the EU.

Also, it may well be that what people hoped for is not possible. E.g. maybe people hoped for a £350m increase in the NHS weekly budget post-Brexit. Or an end to all immigration from the EU whilst still having access to the single market. Or an end to non-EU migration. Or a pony for every White British kid. May can't deliver on impossible demands. She only needs to deliver on one demand and that is exiting the EU.

Whatever deal she's going to get, it's clearly not going to satisfy everyone. Some people will be annoyed because their impossible demands are not being met. Others will be annoyed because they thought the UK should've remained in the EU anyway.

The idea that anyone "wins" in a situation where Theresa May is PM is laughable.

The UKs death certificate has been signed now. She will for sure destroy this country.

Maybe one of the brexit campaigners will take charge and fight to deliver the promises they made... OH WAIT!

Or, as seems to be happening, somebody from the lower echelons will emerge as a power for honesty.
Remain voters lose as we have been dragged out of the UK into a mess with no plan. Brexiters lose as a Remain support is leading the Brexit and may not deliver the deal wanted. Leave voters who voted based on the false promises lose. Companies have lost money and jobs will decline so jobseekers will lose. Hate crime has risen so immigrants and even Leave voters who don't "look British" and encounter racism lose. The UK loses Scotland as it will leave over this issue. Scotland loses as the UK plans to drag it out of the EU. Leadsom loses by not becoming PM and everyone else loses as Therese May becomes a unelected Prime Minister. Half the country hates the other for voting Leave and a bunch of Leave voters hate how this is going.*

This is not a situation where anyone wins. We have all lost and the UK is finished. *

We have left a slowly burning building and are setting up a new home close to new friends and colleagues elsewhere in the world.

We left in a rush and some possessions will not be able to be saved. But we got out just in time.

The remaining inhabitants of the building bicker amongst themselves about whose room a million refugees will live in, how to "punish" us for leaving, and trying to prevent Italy or Greece from joining us outside in the fresh air, away from the cloying smoke.

The so called leader, Jean Claude Juncker staggers around drunkenly but there is no realistic way of deposing him.

Ofc she will do it, she has already confirmed that. The devils is in the detail though. Brexiters might not get the deal they imagines, but tbf the referendum was just about leaving and not on what terms.

She will still leave the EU and she will do it quickly, better to get it over and done with and move on at this stage.
