Have you had a think about the benefits of doing 4 over 3?

Not only are you going to have 4 A2s' worth of work, you're going to have to retake a few modules too - that is gonna be a heck of a lot to do.

I have . I'm teaching all the A2 work over the summer. I've nearly finished A2 economics.

I know it's lots of work, but 2 of my subjects are linear and when i het back to college i can just start past papers.

About me

So last month i finished my AS-Levels. I'm not going to lie - they went pretty terrible. I misread a large essay question in business and talked about the wrong person in law and in maths - i don't know.

AS Result Predictions:

Business - B
Business Unit 1 - 42/80 D
Business Unit 2 - 78/80 A

Economics - A
Economics Unit 1 - 64/80 A
Economics Unit 2 - 64/80 A

Law - B
Law Unit 1 - 84/96 A
Law Unit 2 - 68/96 B

Mathematics - C
Core 1 - 40/72 U
Core 2 - 55/72 B
Statistics 1 - 57/72 A

So despite my poor predictions i intend to carry on all 4 subjects in to A2 and actually be a little more efficient when studying.

Next year i intend to apply to LSE, Oxford and Lancaster to study economics.
And below is everything i'm doing to achieve the grades i need.

Which exam board do you have for maths? Because for my exam board (edexcel) the exams are out of 75 marks. 40/72 is deinfitely not a U and 55/72 is probably an A.

I do OCR . Apparently it was the hardest paper ever. I found it pretty easy, but i just made so many stupid mistakes. I was getting full marks all year.

Wow those are some really high grade boundaries. I haven't done very well in my AS exams either. I did well in maths, further maths and economics but I completely ****ed up physics. I'm getting predicted a C but it is possible to increase your predicted grades since they are only finalised next year just before you send off your UCAS application.

I know . I only need to resit core 1 and unit 2 law.
Wish i revised a bit more now.

You do need to get your predicted grades increased if you want to apply to Oxford and LSE though because you need an A* in maths for the economics course.

Not just predicted, LSE are doubtful to give out an offer without a flush set of high A's at AS

That's not really true anymore since this year we don't do AS for every subject since a lot of subjects have become linear (i.e. all the exams are done at the end of Year 13).
