Solve for 2 cases:
2x5=±(15+x) 2x-5=\pm (15+x) .

Solve for 2 cases:
2x5=±(15+x) 2x-5=\pm (15+x) .

where does that come from?

Two solutions:

2x-5=15+X

And the other
-2x+5=15+X

So to remember it simply, for the first solution ignore the modulus and continue as it is. For the second solution, change the signs on the two variables included in the modulus, so instead of
+2x
You write
-2x
And instead of
-5
You write
+5
