Medicine without A Level Biology?

My proposed options for Sixth Form is Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry and Physics, but I am thinking of applying to medicine. Quite a few universities do not require Biology, and I clearly understand that. However, I do not wish to become a weaker applicant if I do not have Biology. Also, I still wish to keep my options open to perhaps do a degree in Astrophysics. Do you have any ideas what I should do?

Would it be impossible to get into astrophysics if you replaced the further maths with biology?
Why would you want to do medicine and not do biology a level? There will be a lot of bio in medicine
Well you would assume that one would have an interest in Biology if they were planning on studying Medicine...

Later in the course, I would like to specialise in Medical Physics which is one of the modules in A level .

Can I ask why you are not thinking of taking Biology at A-level?

Ultimately the choices you make for your A-levels are up to you and they need to be subjects that you enjoy studying. You are right that Biology is not essential for going on to study medicine, however, it is strongly recommended and really should be taken to at least AS level.

Most people who study medicine will have taken Biology and those that do are likely to find the first year easier than those who don't. However, with all of that said, there are people who do study medicine without having taken it, so it is certainly still worth applying even if you do decide against the Biology A-level.

My school doesn't offer AS grades anymore; they only allow us to pursue 3 a levels (excluding further maths). If they had allowed us to take 4 AS Levels I would have chosen all 3 sciences and maths
