Imperial engineering

I was looking at the entry requirements for civil engineering at imperial, it stated every maths modules need to be an A at first attempt. Does that include further maths module?

Their website says 'Although Further Mathematics is not a course requirement' so FM is not required to be an A, however if you are doing pure with stats and M1 in your FM then you also need an A in M1

Yes, if taken (which is encouraged).

Cause I think I messed up m2 only and every other maths module I think I am confident with an A

Well M units are particularly important for engineering so...

Anyway other universities may not be so strict. Cambridge for one aren't too concerned if you have 1 "off" module.

Imperial want M1 at A, M2 is not required to be an A

remember your maths modules will be arranged such that your total A2 maths marks goes up highest , also the requirement is A*A*A with A* in maths, A*A in other two a levels. It would help if you kud give detailed information about what mocules you took. Gd luck

Yes. The requirements as stated don't differentiate between "maths", "further maths", "additional further maths" or anything else - it's all just maths.

And as I said, M modules are particularly relevent for engineering anyway so if they were concerned about not achieving an A in D1 I'm certain they will be at least equally concerned by missing an A in M2.

Alternatively, just ask the university direct.
