I'm in Y10 my school hasn't said anything about if we got to results day on 25/08 so i don't even know if my school allows retakes but i think it is possible if i am still in Y10

Did you only have to do one exam? I had to do 3, for each science :frown: Love you AQA...
Yay I'm yr 10 too and it's probably possible to retake with one year left.

Typical exam boards, so many exams.

If you did a resit would you be able to revise for your other science exams? Usually schools don't allow resits for that reason, if not at school you could always do it (resit) privately.

So good luck :h:

Yeah I resat one paper and pushed it up to an A.
This was years ago though.

Is it possible to retake just one of the three papers for core science. I did edexcel higher in May.

If I got a c in bio a c in Chem and a d/e in physics what would that be as an overall grade?

I got an A in my controlled assessment

Well that's what I did, but I don't know how the system works now.
Email one of your teachers and ask.

It depends on how high/low your C and D is.
You could be looking at a C or D overall.

Say if I got a C in biology a B in chemistry and a d in physics what would that be overall roughly?

Would my A that I got in my controlled assessment boost my grade?

Thanks for the helpful advice. There's no need to be ignorant. A C is still a good pass. To fail you need to get a U

I would say B or maybe C, again it depends on the UMS.

Is it more likely that I'll get a c or d overall?

I honestly can't say without the marks, but it definitely will not be a D.

Are you sure even if I got like a e or d in physics? That was a terrible exam!

Again it depends on how high or low each grade is.
That A grade would certainly help.
You could be looking at a B or C grade overall.

By looking at the markschemes this is a rough estimate.....

Biology: 27/60
Chemistry: 32-35/60
Physics: Not sure probably D/E
