I know this latest guy was homegrown. Still future attacks could be coming from people allowed over borders. They have the islamic problem to deal with in a secular country. I think they will get tired, like with Brexit, of the total cowardly unpatriotic BS and open borders globalist crap sold to them by their politicians, and start looking to their national interests.

They might eventually, but I don't think they will yet. I think they're still ideologically committed to 'Europe' (remember that in French they say you're 'in Europe' for in the EU - they've kind of conflated the two). There were lots of scathing comments on French media when the Brexit result came out.

The majority of the French are indifferent to or reject the EU
I think Le Pen's party will grow substantially in the next election, partly because of the attacks but also because of Brexit

This. It's the same as in the UK, where the media and political class will be dictating the narrative and telling people what it is 'right' to think. We seem to have a real failing of representative democracy in that, although the kicking we gave establishment them may be just sparking the corpse back to life. Labour still haven't got it together though.

Probably not since presidents have a lot of executive power. Very different from Cameron who had no majoirity when Ukip became a threat.

Very persuasive from someone who was questioning the EU's role if the UK losing Hong Kong.
So if France does leave the EU, does that mean that they will be building border fences at borders with Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Monaco, Andorra and Spain?

Not necessarily. If it's between Le Pen, Sarkozy and Hollande then there's a good chance that the Socialist Party might make it into the second round. UMP voters are much more likely to cast their votes in favour of the Front National as oppose to the Socialists. If Le Pen manages to get 40% or more votes in the first round of voting there's a good chance she'll win a majority regardless of who she faces in the second round.

Well they have a role in closing our economy to the rest of the world. The single market goes back to Hitlers Treasurer, and the EU is the continuation of German dominance by other means, namely economic ones.
And it's 'in' losing.
These homegrown terrorists are much harder to combat... It's also much harder sate the public appetite for justice because you can't exactly infiltrate the terror groups when they don't exist the way they do in foreign countries..
France should push the EU that until it sorts out it's Islamic terror problems, it receives no refugees or migrants from ME background. There should be random house searches in affected areas. And if the EU won't concede to this, France should leave. Same for Germany tbh, though it will never happen.
Because without stronger measures in place sooner or later there will be civil wars.

1) Not a single poll suggests that Hollande will beat Sarkozy into second,
2) Not a single poll suggests Le Pen will anywhere near 40% in the first round.
